Move-in & move-out

What happens on move-in day

The steps between booking your unit and getting access on move-in day.

Move-in is designed to be quick and mostly done before you arrive — here's what happens and in what order.

Before you arrive

  1. Sign your agreement — a licence to occupy your specific unit, signed electronically. Until this is signed, move-in can't be completed.
  2. First payment — your first licence fee (plus any waiver or add-ons you chose) is taken to confirm the booking.
  3. ID check (only if your operator requires one) — a short verification step, usually completed online in a couple of minutes.
  4. Entry credential issued — once your agreement and first payment are confirmed, your access credential (PIN, card, or mobile credential depending on the site) is set up ready for your move-in date. See Using your gate PIN and entry credentials.

On the day

Arrive at your site any time within its access hours on your move-in date. Your credential will already be active — there's no separate check-in step needed at most sites. Your unit is held ready and empty, matching the size and type you booked.

After move-in

Your first invoice and signed agreement are available in your customer portal straight away. Ongoing licence fee collections follow the schedule and payment method you set up at checkout — see Understanding your first Direct Debit collection if you're paying by Direct Debit.

Who to contact

If your credential isn't active when you arrive, or something about your unit doesn't match what you booked, contact support or your site directly — this is treated as urgent.
